Work with Acalia

Grow with Acalia, as part of the brand or alongside it.

Acalia is a new massage and sound ritual practice for women in Lisbon, founded by Kat. As it grows, we would love to meet independent practitioners and businesses who share its values: some who may become part of the Acalia brand, and some who would rather collaborate under their own name.

In development We are shaping the Acalia affiliation model and its commercial terms now, and early conversations will help define them.

Who Acalia is

A small practice, built around listening.

Acalia offers personalised massage for women who carry too much: work, care and everyday stress. Each session starts with a conversation, the massage is adapted to the person in the room, and Tibetan singing bowls are included only if the client chooses them.

  • Women-focused. Calm, unhurried, personal sessions.
  • Listening first. Pressure, pace and technique follow the client.
  • Sound by choice. Bowls sit alongside skilled bodywork, never in place of it.
  • Coming soon. Lisbon studio sessions and selected home visits are planned. Client bookings are not open yet.

See the client site for how Acalia describes the experience.

Ways to work together

Two paths, kept distinct.

Some practitioners and businesses may become part of the Acalia brand. Others may keep their own name and work alongside it. Both conversations are welcome.

Become part of the Acalia brand

Acalia brand affiliation

For independent practitioners and businesses who share Acalia’s way of working and would like to offer it under the Acalia name as the brand grows.

You might be

  • an independent massage therapist or bodyworker in Lisbon, Cascais or Sintra
  • a small studio or wellbeing business that could carry the Acalia name
  • a practitioner who uses Tibetan singing bowls alongside hands-on work
  • someone who would rather listen than follow a script, and who values quiet skill over big claims

Alongside Acalia, under your own name

Referral and venue partners

Aligned businesses that keep their own identity and might recommend, host or work alongside Acalia where it makes sense for both.

You might be

  • a studio, wellbeing space or women’s community that sometimes hears “I need a proper rest”
  • a boutique hotel, guesthouse or venue interested in thoughtful guest experiences
  • a complementary practitioner whose clients could also suit Acalia, and the reverse

Shared values

What matters more than any arrangement.

  1. Listening before doing

The client sets the pace. Consent, comfort and the freedom to change their mind come first, every time.

  2. Care without claims

No diagnosis, no medical promises, no overselling. We describe what a session is, honestly.

  3. Women’s safety and privacy

Clear boundaries, discretion, and spaces where women feel at ease, whether in a studio or at home.

  4. Unhurried by design

Time to arrive and time to settle afterwards. No rushing between appointments, no upselling.

  5. Skill and responsibility

Working within your own training and the rules that apply to your work, and saying so when something isn’t right for you.

  6. Generous, not competitive

Recommending each other when it serves the client, and building something small and good before anything big.

A first conversation

Simple, informal and without obligation.

A first conversation is simply about getting to know each other.

  1. Send a short email

Tell us who you are, what you do, where you work and the kind of collaboration you have in mind. A link to your website or Instagram is plenty.

  2. We read it and reply if there may be a fit

Acalia is still getting started, so replies may take a little time. Where it makes sense, we’ll suggest a short call or a coffee in Lisbon.

  3. Get to know each other

We talk about how you work, what Acalia is building, and whether our values line up. Questions are welcome both ways.

  4. Shape the next step together

If there is a fit, we explore what affiliation or collaboration could look like, and agree the details in writing.
